HUBER NEEDLES

FB Medical Huber needles are composed of a Luer Lock hub in polycarbonate and of a stainless steel straight or 90° curved nozzle with a Huber tangential bevelled edge.

They are exclusively used to accede to access ports limiting to the full septum damages and patient pain.

The straight Huber needles are used for blood samples and punctual injections with a Luer Lock syringe.

The 90° Huber needles have to be used for:
- blood punctures or transfusions or blood derived,
- drug perfusions or liquids,
- parenteral nutrition

EXTENSION SETS WITH HUBER NEEDLE
They are composed of wings Huber needle connected to a 15 cm extension set finished by a stainless steel Luer Lock hub. The extension set withstands a clothing clamp.
They are used exclusively to accede access ports for:
- the injection or the perfusion of liquids
- the parenteral nutrition.

The nozzle form permits to accede to the access port limiting to the full septum damages and pain patient. It doesn't provoke an incisive effect producing silicone shaving able to fill up the port catheter.
The integration of a Luer Lock hub extension set to the device bring advantages face to face a simple Huber needle:
- Use easiness because the hub is much more accessible,
- Minimize infection risk eliminating a connection and assuring a perfect watertightness at the time of any changing of syringe, this thanks to the clamp.

THE PRESENTATION
Huber needles and extension sets can be presented according to just one form:
- Huber needles are in unitary conditioning under peelaway sachets and in a box of 50 units.
- Extension sets are in unitary conditioning under shell with cover in box of 90 units.

All these conditionings are adapted to the used sterilization type and they guarantee the sterility of the product.
